Gayle Taylor, Dhahran Junior High Class of 1989, gave birth to a daughter, Audrey Elizabeth Parkin, in New York City on July 17, 2008. Audrey arrived two weeks early, weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. at a length of 20 inches.

Gayle and her husband, Peter Parkin, live in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and both work in New York City. Audrey’s grandmother, Nancy Taylor, flew from California to meet her new granddaughter and to help out shortly after Audrey’s arrival. She was soon joined by Audrey’s grandfather, Bob Taylor, and her great-grandmother, Mary Herring.

Bob and Nancy retired from Aramco in 2002 to Pismo Beach, California, following almost 18 years in Dhahran. They are now enjoying opportunities to spend more time with their children and grandchildren in New Jersey and Florida.  Mary was also a familiar face in Dhahran, having visited there 11 times.
