May I ask a very brief favor of you? I want to surprise one of my very dearest friends, Cynthia Cashill, on her 60th birthday. She loves a good celebration, but I know she is not looking forward to the big "6-0". Her birthday and 38th wedding anniversary are on May 17 and I want it to be a very happy day for her. Would you mind e-mailing her a birthday wish to cynthiacashill@comcast.net? Even if you don't know Cynthia, it can be as brief as, "Happy Birthday, Cynthia!", and she will be thrilled! She does not yet know of the existence of this e-mail account, but her husband Bob and I will give it to her on her birthday and she can read the messages at her leisure. Your message to her will make her very, very happy!

Cynthia and Bob Cashill and their sons Jason and Josh arrived in Dhahran in January, 1983. Bob was best known to the greater Aramco community through his organization of the Aramco Youth Soccer Association.
Cynthia worked for Community Services in Dhahran from 1984-1992. Expatriate Returning Students in Dhahran met Cynthia at the Recreation office each year to get their Aramco I.D. She loved seeing the young people and talking with them. Otherwise, Cynthia kept a pretty low profile -- except for the time she donned the Baby Bear costume in a DTG (Dhahran Theatre Group). production. She loves to shop, to travel into Manhattan for shows and dinner, and to hold babies.
She loved horseback riding. Her horse Zanadu was stabled at Dhahran's Hobby Farm, where Cynthia rode and practiced dressage.
If you know of anyone that might know Cynthia, please forward this request to them. Even if your friends don't know Cynthia, it would be fabulous, if you don't mind, passing this request to all of your friends. The more, the merrier! Imagine receiving 500 birthday wishes -- especially on a day you are not thrilled about.
Cynthia hates being photographed, so the attached picture is the only one I can offer for you to see her, if you don't know who she is. It was taken at New York's Rockefeller Center ice skating arena in front of their huge Christmas tree. Those of us who know Cynthia know how much she enjoys showing friends around Manhattan.
With much appreciation!
