Dr. and Mrs. Mark Young of Dhahran are delighted to announce the engagement of their son, J.R., to Lindsay Sallach of Charlotte, North Carolina. Their marriage will take place on June 18, 2005, in Durham, North Carolina.
J.R. is a 1995 graduate of the Dhahran School; he and Lindsay are presently second-year medical students at the University of North Carolina Medical School in Chapel Hill, NC.
Interestingly enough, J.R. and Lindsay discovered that they both have their roots in Omaha, Nebraska. J.R. was born there on November 6, 1979. Lindsay was born almost one year later on October 2 - just four days before the Young family departed from Omaha on their way to Saudi Arabia via Houston. Lindsay's family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina when she was still a very young girl and has lived there ever since.
