Jason Bailey Monroe married Amanda Lynn Field May 26, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Bakersfield, California. Jason is the son of Sam and Linda Monroe. He was born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia April 17, 1977, on his father's 25th birthday.
Jason is an actor and is also getting his teaching credential to teach in the high schools in California. Amanda is in graduate school and plans to get her doctorate to work as a medical examiner. Their plans are to travel and be near a big city like New York or Los Angeles to work. We are all blessed by their marriage after a long two and 1/2 year engagement.
The Monroes lived in Dhahran for two years and then in Ras Tanura for two years from 1976-1980. We have two other sons, Sam II, who lives in Oregon, and Brian, who lives in Bakersfield. We have three grandsons in Oregon and two granddaughters in Bakersfield.
