Miss Agatta Desayer Mueller and Mr. Kendric Shumaker were united in marriage on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at five o’clock at the Castle Green in Pasadena, California. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. John White who is the groom’s uncle. A string trio provided the music for the ceremony. The bride and her father walked down the aisle to ‘Ave Maria’ which was the same song her mother walked down the aisle to, 31 years prior. Following the ceremony, cocktail hour was held in the courtyard, Turkish and Moorish rooms. The guests then danced the night away, after dinner in the grand ballroom. The majority of the wedding guests traveled from other states and countries to attend the festive reception.

The bride is the daughter of Roy and Delia Mueller of Richmond Hill, Georgia. Roy Mueller retired from Saudi Aramco in March 2005 after working for 20 years in Dhahran. The last 9 years were with the Geophysical Technical Services Department.

The groom is the son of William and Heidi Shumaker of Windsor, Colorado.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant couture gown of French lace and silk. The strapless gown featured exquisite beading and was complimented with a sheer white embroidered mantilla style veil. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, Casablanca lilies and roses wrapped in satin ribbon.

Bridesmaids were Miss Jessica Shumaker, sister of the groom, Miss Jumanah Khader, Miss Sabina Mehta, and Miss Kinda Hibrawi, all longtime friends of the bride.

Serving as Groomsmen were Mr. Onyx Mueller, Mr. Emery Mueller [brothers of the bride], Mr. Michael Moghaddam, cousin of the groom, and Mr. Cheyenne Pieris.

The bride graduated from Colorado State University at Fort Collins, Colorado where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations. The groom also graduated from Colorado State University at Fort Collins, Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice and minor in Political Science.

The couple honeymooned in Phuket, Thailand and are now residing in Sherman Oaks, California.
