Elayne Hebert Marries Grant Johnston

Miss Elayne Hebert and Mr. Grant Johnston were united in marriage on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at four o'clock in the afternoon. The wedding was held in a beautiful outdoor setting at their home with Michael McArdle officiating, and 61 guests in attendance. Michael is a longtime friend who brought Elayne and Grant together! A dinner and dance reception followed at the groom's restaurant, The Emory, located at 22700 Woodward Avenue, Ferndale, Michigan. On the eve of the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents.
Laynie is the daughter of Saudi Aramco Annuitants Byron and Cindy Hebert of Las Vegas, NV. Grant is the son of Laird and Susan Johnston of Birmingham, Michigan.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride selected an exquisite gown made by Carolina Herrera. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of Peonies, Ranunculus, and Lily of the Valley.
The bride's sister, Laura Hebert, served as maid of honor. The flower girls were Lauren and Ruby, neices of the groom. Logan, the groom's nephew, served as ring bearer.
The groom's brother, Chris Johnston, served as the groom's best man.
Laynie is a graduate of Dhahran Class of 1993. She owns a Pilates studio in Ferndale.
Grant is a graduate of the Siebel School and is a certified brewmaster. He is self-employed and owns both a brewery and restaurant. A new pool hall is set to open in the winter of 2008!
Following a honeymoon in Montreal, Quebec, and the East Coast, Laynie and Grant will return home to Ferndale, Michigan.
