Jason Pasnak will graduate from Brentwood College School in Vancouver Island, Canada, on June 29. Jason was born in Dhahran on May 7, 1989 and attended grades K through 9 at the Hills and Third Street schools.
When Jason was 15 years old he left Saudi Arabia for Brentwood College School in Canada. At 16, he joined the high school rowing club and went on to win gold medals at the Canadian National High School Rowing Championship in St. Catherine's, Ontario. This event included 2,459 athletes, 133 schools, and 806 entries from Canada and the United States.
Jason returns to Arabia every school break to ride his dirt bike with friends in Dhahran. More recently, he now plays ice hockey with his father at the Oasis Hockey Arena in Khobar. He continuously outplays his father.
Jason plans to study engineering at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada in the fall of 2007. His older brother Michael, 20 (born in Dhahran on January 20, 1987) is currently studying Culinary Arts at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Jason's 16 year-old brother, Mark, is completing Grade 10 at the DOD school in Bahrain.

Jason's father, John, has worked in the Drilling and Workover Departments for Saudi Aramco continuously since February, 1981. His mother, Linda, has been a member of the Dhahran Golf Club since May, 1986. Jason will be in Dhahran for his summer vacation from July 5 to August 8.
