David Michael Cope, son of Connie Cope and the late John Cope, graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy on May 25.
David received a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering and was inducted into the national engineering honor society of Tau Beta Pi.
Having received his commission as an Ensign in the United States Navy, David has been assigned to the USS Farragut, a newly commissioned guided missile destroyer stationed at Mayport Naval Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
David lived in Dhahran for 15 years until he left for Woodberry Forest School in Orange, Virginia. In addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents, his graduation was attended by Dale, Huynh, and Johann Saner, and Mike and Debbie Walsh, all formerly of Dhahran.
