Sam Nayampalli, passed away on March 15th, 2005 after a 2-year battle with esophageal cancer.
Although my mother and I will miss him beyond words, we take comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering and that his transition was peaceful and comfortable. He will be forever remembered and immortalized in our hearts with good memories.
The good days and bad days come and go--however, we have been very fortunate to have strong support systems throughout this long and difficult process. It hasn't exactly been smooth sailing, but we've managed to get through it one day at a time not only with each other, but also with the help of family and friends.
