John Reardon, 85, passes away

JOHN REARDON, 85, of MONMOUTH BEACH, passed away on Wednesday, March 19 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia for 20 years, where he retired as Vice President of Finance and Relations for ARAMCO Services Company before moving to Sea Bright, then to Monmouth Beach, where he lived since 2002. John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving as a First Lt. Navigator in the Eighth Air Force during World War II. He was a communicant of Church of the Precious Blood in Monmouth Beach.

He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Mary V. Reardon. He is survived by his daughter Maura and her husband Kevin Quinn, and was the beloved "Pop Pop" of five grandchildren, Kevin Jr., Kelly, Bridget, Colin and Ryan Quinn.

A memorial mass will take place on at 10 a.m. Monday, at Holy Cross R.C. Church, Rumson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to:

    Hi, Maura, I am so sorry to hear about the death of your Dad. As you know we joked with each other a great deal and he was a special friend during my days in Houston and Arabia. I know he shall be missed. Me deepest sympathy.

    "Jack" was a great guy!  Had I not gone to work right out of college for George Pappas in Dh. and John Wittrig in RT. I would have loved to have worked for Jack in Houston where he was a VP for ASC for a long time. My deepest sympathies go out to his daughter Maura during this difficult time. She and her dad were always very tight and close. Jack will be missed. Best....... Fred.
