"Desert Burning," a historical novel about the civilians in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm, commemorates the 20th anniversary of the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq on August 2, 1990.

Former Aramcon Muhammad Javed Iqbal alerted Aramco ExPats to his efforts to provide relief to the flood-affected people of Pakistan. The monsoons in the northern areas of Pakistan, especially in Nowshera, Charsadda, Sawat, Mianwali, and Azad Kashmir, have caused the worst floods in the country's history.

Howard and I have been busy with work at Rancho Dolores, and grandchildren, this summer. But we have time to share a story called Howard and the Hunt for the Chicken Egg-Eating Snake. Yes, chicken egg-eating snakes are on the loose! Howard had been on the hunt trying to either capture the predator eating our chicken eggs or put it out of its misery.
