Jim Boudreau (back row, third from the left) raised over $9,000 for several cancer foundations in "24 Hours of Booty."
Jim Boudreau worked with Saudi Aramco for twenty years before his retirement six years ago. At 61 years old, he participated in "24 Hours of Booty", a cycling fundraiser to support the Lance Armstrong Foundation and other cancer organizations on July 25 and 26, 2008 in Charlotte, NC. Jim was able to personally raise $4,615 and with a corporate match, he raised over $9,000 for the event, the 9th highest amount raised by an individual. He also had the honor being the oldest rider in the event.
Jim and his daughter Michelle have been sharing updates on Jim’s efforts with Aramco ExPats and they are very thankful for the support they received from some great Aramcons. They are already making plans for next year’s ride and fundraiser, so look for more updates on Jim’s cycling achievements in the future.

Michelle also put together a website with photos, a YouTube interview from a local news station, and a message from Jim about the ride. Here’s what Jim had to say:
To each and every one of my supporters:
The "24 Hours of Booty" event was a huge success with the event raising almost $918,000 in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, The Brain Tumor Fund for the Carolinas, and Keep Pounding.
Without your support, none of this would happen. We are all extremely appreciative of your commitment to these invaluable causes.
Jim Boudreau rests after "24 Hours of Booty."
The race started at 7:00 PM on July 25, 2 008 around the Queen's College campus in Charlotte and continued for 24 straight hours. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet or hail kept riders off the course. It did rain, but we really didn't have any snow, sleet or hail.
The mood of everyone was festive whether the rider was doing one loop or a hundred loops around the 3-mile course. The ride started with all the participating cancer survivors leading out the fundraisers. The Kimley-Horn team was proud to be among the highest fund raising teams with over $16,000 raised.
Accolades aside, it was the experience of the ride for the cause that was most gratifying. To see the survivors participating made it more imperative to do your best riding for them.
