I had a wonderful time visiting my daughter, Deanna Walker Weitzel (Dhahran Junior High '82), and her family in Bahrain from April 5th - 19th.

It was terrific to have the opportunity to celebrate Deanna's 39th birthday at the Ritz with friends from Aramco and Bahrain. What a delight to visit with David, Paula, and Holly Owen, David and Debbie LaRue, and Cindy Camp.

During my two-week stay, I was treated to the sights of Bahrain and then had the fun of celebrating Easter with 'kids' and grandkids.

The construction, the renovation of historic sights, and the development of museums and tourist destinations is amazing.

We used to think the Regency Intercontinental was impressive, but it now seems so small compared to the architectural wonders springing up everywhere.
