Dawood Al-Dawood is the newly elected Chairman of the Board, President & CEO
of Aramco Services Company (ASC), a subsidiary of Saudi Arabian Oil Company
(Saudi Aramco), as well as Chairman of the Board of Saudi Refining, Inc., a
subsidiary of ASC.
Dawood Al-Dawood joined the Company in August 1982 on the Company’s fast
track training college program and completed his BS degree in Petroleum
Engineering from the University of Kansas in 1988. Prior to his assignment in
Houston, he was the Manager of the Jeddah Refinery Department of Saudi Aramco.
In this post Dawood played a major role in meeting the country’s product demand
for various fuels. The refinery complex is also a utilities provider, a terminal
hub and a distribution center serving the Kingdom’s Western Region’s fuel
demand.
Prior to moving to Jeddah, Mr. Al-Dawood was the Manager of the Crude Oil
Sales and Marketing Department for two years. In this capacity Dawood played a
central role in managing global sales agreements with major customers, planning
the schedule of delivery for customer orders, and growing the Company’s global
customer base toward higher margin segments.
Mr. Al-Dawood also served as Manager in several of Saudi Aramco’s major oil
and gas drilling and production operations. He provided operational leadership
involving world-scale production facilities in some of the world’s largest
producing fields.
Mr. Al-Dawood is a board member of SUMED Company, and the Jeddah Refinery
Company, was the Managing Director of Bolanter, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco,
for two years, and is also an active member of several business committees
within Saudi Aramco.
