To all of you who have inquired about our great-niece, Amy's, health. Following is an excerpt from an e-mail from her mother:
We go back to Gainesville 2/18 for a checkup. She seems to feel fine, has been able to go to school all day, every day (no PE). At home, she seems more and more active every day. She's riding her bike and scooter more, etc.
She auditioned for the school talent show and got in - she's going to play piano.
So, things seem to be going very well. At least, she is not deteriorating. Last time they told us that she seemed to be a teensy, weensy, bit better. While that is not significant, the doctor told us it is much better than her being a teensy weensy bit worse. We're just praying they continue to see improvement when we go back 2/18.
Amy is still getting cards and letters from all over the world, and enjoys opening and reading every one of them. She has begun sending thank you notes, but it is a big job for a nine-year old, and it will take a long while to get back to you all. Thanks to all of you for your continued efforts and prayers.
