A court of honor was held in December 2006 to recognize the Gold Award earned by Holly Aberle. The ceremony was attended by her parents, friends, teachers and fellow scouts.
The Gold Award is the highest rank in Girl Scouts. To earn this Gold Award, Holly’s service project “Looking at the World through the Eyes of Children” involved designing colorful paintings of different sizes that were donated to Bay State Hospital in Springfield, Massachusetts for the children’s ward. The paintings were hung in the patient’s rooms to help brighten their stay in the hospital. Holly also did a book and toy drive to go with the paintings.
Holly is the daughter of Heather and Lee Aberle of Dhahran. Holly was born in Dhahran, attended Saudi Aramco Schools and the Williston Northampton School in Massachusetts.
