Aramcon Hank Banaszek’s daughter, Cassie, has been quite busy since graduating from Dhahran in 2002. Here is an update of her recent accomplishments:
Cassie in The Threepenny Opera
"My junior year, I was living in Wisconsin for a year and was accepted into the WSMA All State Treble Choir. My senior year, I moved to Pennsylvania and participated in the PMEA District, and Regional Choral festivals. I was also the first Alternate on my voice part to the PMEA All State Mixed Choir.
I graduated from high school in the class of 2005 from James M Coughlin Sr. High School with a 3.7 GPA and am currently attending Clarion University where I was recently accepted into the BFA Musical Theatre program.
I was very active in theatre during my time in Dhahran. I was in productions of The Sound of Music (Louisa), The Wiz (Winkie Ens), and Joseph and the Amazing Tehcnicolor Dreamcoat (Butler). I also danced with Sandra Abdul Rahman. In high school, I kept doing theatre in- The Wizard of Oz (Ensemble), Honk! (Maureen), and Is There Life After High School? (Woman 3) my senior year.
I began college as a music education major and halfway through my freshman year, opted to change my major to theatre. Once a major, I worked on I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Assistant Stage Manager), and finally made my collegiate stage debut in The Threepenny Opera (Dolly/Beggarwoman), and was just recently cast in Cinderella in the Ensemble and as an understudy to one of the stepsisters to be in production this March."
Cassie hasn’t had many opportunities to get back to Saudi, but is excited to be visiting shortly.
