Thailand is a popular tourist country in Asia. Bangkok, like so many big cities, has many different faces, "something for everyone." Pattaya, famous for its beach and night life, is for relaxation as well as for the adventure type. In this short get-away to amazing Thailand, we will just enjoy ourselves, make ourselves happy and relax. There is much, much more to Syria than Damascus and this trip will show you a portion of it. Based from the ancient city of Aleppo, the group will visit not only Aleppo and its famed souk and citadel, but explore the legendary “Dead Cities” and Saint Simeon. Stops are planned for Homs and Krac De Chevaliers as well. The trip is paced with adequate time to soak up the history and culture of the region, as well as explore the many intriguing shops. Moscow - St. Petersburg

Russia's most vital cities are Moscow, in the historic heartland at the center of European Russia, and St. Petersburg, established less than 300 years ago on the Gulf of Finland as Russia’s gateway to Europe. In these two places tsars reigned and the world’s greatest communist state was born, Russia’s unique architecture flowered, and the mysteries of the Russian Orthodox Church flourished, as they do today. Turkey Discovery Tour

The Dhahran Outing Group is ready to announce once again a tour to Turkey. This nine day tour will cover Turkey from Istanbul in the West to Cappadocia in the East. Four days in Istanbul will give us time to visit the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapa Palace, the Grand Bazaar, and a boat ride on the Bosphorus. A visit to the Roman ruins of Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the House of the Virgin Mary will fill a full days touring on our trip. Pamukkale with its travertine formations and ruins will excite any Aramco geologist. Konya is the site of Rumi's tomb, the founder of the Sufi sect, and will add to your knowledge of Islam. Our last destination is Cappadocia, a land of rock churches and underground cities. This one will fill up fast. Cost is approximately $2,375 for adult sharing. The magnificent "Rose red city, half as old as time" offers some of the most spectacular archaeological sites in the Middle East. No one should live in this part of the world and not visit Petra. Come and relive the ancient Roman, Nabataean and Crusader eras. For those able to bridge, there is an option to explore sights in northern Jordan and west along the Jordan River. This trip is designed to visit two of the most important cities in Egypt, a journey into the past that spans millennia and lets participants walk where storied figures such as Khufu, Saladin, Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Cleopatra and Pompey have strode. Visit cities that held two of the ancient world seven wonders (including the Pyramids, the only surviving wonder) as well as also rans like the Sphinx and the Library of Alexandria. India: Temples, Treasures, & the Taj

Venture into 5,000 years of history, music, dance, and religion. India is a country of contrasts with sacred cows, snake charmers, and holy men. Explore the Mughal city of Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, a masterpiece in marble, built as a monument to love. Travel west to the shopper’s paradise of Jaipur for elephants and gems. This time our tour makes its way to Udaipur, to visit the Lake Palace and exotic Rajasthan. Stepping into the country-side, we visit the Neemrana Fort Palace to put ourselves in touch with the "real" India. Kenya Safari

Once again the Dhahran Outing Group will be offering its Kenya Safari to Saudi Aramco employees. This safari will visit several of the best game parks in East Africa. A night at the famous Ark to view forest and nocturnal animals will be followed by a night in the foothills of Mt. Kenya at Sweetwaters Camp. We are sure to see rhino and other mountain game along with visiting the Equator. A stop at Lake Nakuru in the Rift Valley to see thousands of pink flamingos, leopard, and water buck will give everyone a taste of safari life at its best. We are saving the best for last with three nights in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This park is the northern end of the Serengeti Plain and home the greatest concentration of wildlife anywhere in the world. We will stay at Kitchwa Tembo the best camp in the Mara. Morning balloon or fishing safaris are also available. Cost is approximately $4,000 for adult sharing.
