The 2010 Annuitants Reunion will take place in Orlando, Florida from October 1st - 4th. Eva-Kinga Farnsworth is hosting the reunion that she has named Orlando "Hafla" 2010. Hafla in Arabic means a friendly gathering or a family bash.
Eva would like to have another quilt display similar to the one at the Branson Reunion of 2006 in the Hospitality Room and has asked me to organize the exhibit.
The quilt stands to be used best display wall hanging size quilts. If you have any wall hanging with an Arabian/Aramco theme and would be willing to display them at the Reunion, please contact me as soon as possible.
In addition to wall hangings you presently own, I’m hoping that you will participate in a fun challenge project. Using two pieces of fabric (contact information below to request fabric materials) for the Orlando "Hafla" 2010 Aramco Reunion Challenge.
The rules are simple:
- Use both pieces of fabric somewhere on the front of your design. You do not have to use the entire piece.
- The finished size should be no larger than 30x36 inches.
- You can add as many additional fabrics as you like.
- Any embellishments, embroidery, or add-on work is welcome.
- Machine and/or hand work is acceptable.
- The challenge project will not be judged.
- The theme will be Orlando "Hafla" 2010.
- If you are not attending the reunion, items must be mailed to me before Sept 1, 2010. I will return your challenge piece after the reunion. Please send pieces to:

I hope you will participate. The quilt display in Branson was very well received and I’m counting on your help for another interesting quilt exhibit for the Orlando gathering. Please let me know what quilts you have to display and if you can participate in the Orlando "Hafla" 2010 Challenge. I look forward to hearing from you and I trust and hope to see you in Orlando.
