Dr. Lizabeth Zack

Dr. Lizabeth Zack is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of South Carolina — Upstate. She received her Ph.D. in sociology and history from the New School for Social Research. She specializes in the study of political protest, social movements, and urban politics, with a special interest in the Middle East. She has published and presented on the topics of anti-Semitism, Islamic activism, terrorism, revolutionary movements, and environmental protest. She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities grant and two Fulbright Scholarships to France and Jordan.
