Graciela earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Costa Rica, where she grew up. She has participated in workshops and art shows in the United States, and in Dhahran and Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. She likes to work with all mediums, but her favorite is watercolor. She particularly likes the challenges that this medium offers.

While Graciela has experimented with many painting styles, the subject matter of her work has remained consistent. It features unique buildings, still life studies, and people with interesting faces, all of which reflect the Arab culture that presently surrounds her.
