A traveling exhibit featuring over 300 archaeological treasures of the pre-Islamic Saudi world recently opened at the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. The collection, containing artifacts dating as far back as 4,000 BC, will be on display at the Louvre until late September. Artifacts for the exhibit, "Roads of Arabia - Archaeology and History of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," were retrieved in excavations across Saudi Arabia over the last 40 years.

Armen Der Kiureghian, professor of engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, has published a book about the life and work of his father, Sumbat Der Kiureghian, renowned Iranian-Armenian watercolorist. "The Life and Art of Sumbat" includes 120 pages of color reproductions of Sumbat’s paintings, drawings, and sketches, as well as Sumbat’s biography, full of personal anecdotes and letters.

Since 1945, theatre has enhanced the vibrant community life of Saudi Aramco’s Dhahran compound. Aramco employees, spouses, and family members shared their talents on the stage in both original productions and plays known around the world. In 1993, the DTG celebrated the wonderful history of theatre in Dhahran by compiling a cookbook with recipes contributed by the group’s various players throughout the years.
