The inaugural trip of the Aramco Expats Travel Club passed the test. With a small contingency of 8 Aramcons, we were the shining stars in the group called Over The Hill Gang.

It was not our skiing ability that stood out but our joi de vivre. We knew how to have fun and include others. The spirit of the Saudi Arabian Ski Team lives on.
Sun Peaks in the interior of British Columbia was the perfect resort for us - abundant snow for the many famous corduroy runs of all levels right at our door step, no crowds to bother us, volunteer "Sun Guides" (retirees) who were eager to take us just to the right slope to make us proud skiers. The sun warmed us most days with a light snow dusting at night. One beautiful clear evening, we couldn't resist snowshoeing - for some for the first time - to a trapper’s camp where we learned the history of this remote area. We couldn't ask for more.
Nancy Green, the Canadian Olympic skier of 1968, invites all you skiers out there to pay her and Sun Peaks a visit. She is the best "Sun Guide," free of charge. Ask my husband Dave.
