During my first 100 days as Ambassador to the United States, I have had the wonderful opportunity to visit with Americans in almost every corner of the U.S. My travels have taken me to Texas, Arizona, California, Washington State, Michigan, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Kansas, Georgia, and beyond. At each stop, I have had the privilege to speak with the American people about their questions and perceptions regarding the Kingdom, and I have been able to exchange ideas on culture, education, energy, the war on terrorism, and Saudi-U.S. relations.
The American people have greeted me warmly and openly, and for that I am grateful. I have also found that the Americans I have met have been extremely inquisitive and curious about my country. There is a great thirst for information and knowledge, not just about Saudi Arabia as a geographic entity, but about the people, culture, and history.
So, I would like to share with you some of the speeches I have delivered and some of the question and answer sessions in which I have been involved during my first 100 days. Please find links to these events below. I hope they provide you with greater insight into the issues facing Saudi Arabia, the United States, and even the global community, as we all work to secure increasingly levels of peace and cooperation.
My first 100 days represents a foundation for the future of my work to promote relations between Saudi Arabia and the U.S. Thanks to individuals like you, who are willing to engage the issues with such interest, I am certain the historically rich and friendly relationship between our two countries will continue and help us meet the challenges ahead.
