NEW ORLEANS, April 29, 2008 -- Ivan C. Cruz of Saudi Aramco’s Consulting Services Department was honored during the recent NACE Corrosion 2008 conference as one of just a few individuals worldwide recognized for outstanding commitment and service to NACE’s growth and position as the world leader in corrosion control.

Since moving to Saudi Arabia in 1992, Cruz has been active in the NACE Saudi Arabia Section. He has served in a number of key positions and is credited for his role in making the section a success. Cruz was honored at the conference March 19.
Cruz has been a member of NACE since 1977. He has been active in organizing the Middle East Corrosion Conference, held every two years, and has served as technical committee chairman. He also is a member of more than a dozen NACE technical committees.
Cruz is a NACE-certified corrosion specialist, a materials selection/design specialist and a NACE course instructor.
NACE International is a professional association dedicated to promoting public safety, protecting the environment and reducing the economic impact of corrosion.
Established in 1943, NACE International has about 19,000 members worldwide and offers technical training and certification programs, sponsors conferences and produces industry standards, reports, publications and software.
