University Officials Tour Company

DHAHRAN, March 03, 2010 -- Representatives from West Virginia University visited Saudi Aramco recently after participating in the International University Fair in Riyadh.

WVUvistOfficials from West Virginia University visited company facilities and discussed the available programs for students.

The delegation included Dr. David Stewart, associate vice president and dean of students; Dr. Thomas Sloane, associate dean of student life; and Michael Wilhelm, director of the office of International Students.

The delegation enjoyed a two-day program while at Saudi Aramco and was received by Fahad A. Al-Moosa, vice president Northern Area Oil Operations (NAOO).

The group then visited the Oil Supply Planning and Scheduling control center, where Dawood M. Dawood, vice president of Marketing Supply and Joint Venture Coordination, showed them how Saudi Aramco product is tracked from well site to its final destination.

After a visit to the Saudi Aramco Exhibit, the delegation toured the EXPEC building, where they visited the EXPEC Computer Center followed by a trip to the Intelligent Field Center to see the company’s state-of-the-art field performance and production strategy optimization.

On the second day of the visit, delegates went to the Career Development Department to meet with counselors and discuss student culture and available programs at West Virginia University.
