The face of our community is changing so rapidly with diverse cultures. I believe an experience of this kind would not only open my eyes personally to the vast differences cultures have inherently, but would give me resources and handles personally and professionally to meet the cultural needs I am faced with in the classroom.
As an American, I want this trip to be an experience that would assist me for generations to come in an educational bridge-building that our country so desperately needs.
