Gazpacho

Friends' Recipes

1 ½ T wine vinegar
¼ cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic
1 cucumber, peeled, coarsely cut
1 green pepper, seeded, coarsely cut
3 scallions coarsely cut
½ teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
½ cup water
1 teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper
8 ripe tomatoes, peeled, cut.
Croutons for garnish

Into a container put all ingredients except tomatoes and croutons. Cover, turn motor on and off 5 times, until all is coarsely chopped. Empty into bowl. Blend tomatoes until coarsely chopped. Combine. Adjust seasoning. Serve chilled with croutons.

Yield: 6 servings
