Al Hasa Cookbook - 1976

1/2 cup margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon clove
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
1 pound mixed fruit
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup walnuts

Preheat oven to 350^o.

Cream margarine and sugar, add vanilla, eggs and applesauce. Add flour that has been mixed and sifted with all of the spices. Add mixed fruit, nuts and raisins.

Bake for 1 hour in a greased tube pan or until top springs back when pressed.

Walnut halves and cherries may be used to garnish the top.
