½ cup butter
1 cup light brown sugar
¾ cup flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 cups apples, pared and sliced thin
½ cup water
Cream the butter. Add the brown sugar and blend well. Work in the flour and cinnamon. Place half of the apples in greased 2 qt. casserole and dot with half of the first mixture. Repeat. Pour water over all. Place uncovered pan in 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
