Rum Cream Pie

Favorite Recipes, Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia, 1953

Bake pie shell

3 egg yolks
2 cups milk
¼ cup sugar
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. rum

Mix ingredients and cook together until the mixture coats a spoon. Pour into pie shell and cover with meringue made by beating 3 egg whites, add 3 tsp. sugar slowly, until stiff. Bake at 400 degrees about 10 minutes.
