Throughout my years in Aramco, as an office worker for a number of years and now as a “lady of leisure”, I have taken numerous classes. As a frustrated artist, having managed to obtain ‘O’ level art at 16, I have taken drawing, watercolor, silk painting and quilting classes, amongst others.

After nearly 25 years of service, Byron & Cindy Hebert left Saudi Arabia for early retirement. Byron worked first as a Junior High Math Teacher in Abqaiq, then transferred to Purchasing in Dhahran, and then finally to the Dhahran Health Center in a business administration capacity.

Oran and Colleen Wilson live in Richardson, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. They have two children who were born in Saudi Arabia, Olan Keith, who passed away in 1996 from Melanoma cancer, and Victoria Gayle. Colleen spends her spare time writing about their lives in Saudi. Oran spends his time volunteering for the local hospital and police department.

Nancy Ackerman resides in Las Vegas after 35 years of living in Spain, Mexico, Jeddah, Jakarta, Singagore and Dhahran. She is the author of two books and another is being written in between training for and competing in ballroom dance competitions around the USA, and shopping for antiques for her annual charity fair from her second home in London.

Former Aramco ExPat, Nestor “Sandy” John Sander is 92 years young. In 1939, on his first tour overseas, he shook hands with the King Ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia and in 1945 he watched De Gaulle and Churchill walk down the Champs Elysées on VE Day.

Nimah Ismail Nawwab is an English writer, photographer, lecturer and internationally recognized poet. Educated in Saudi Arabia, she is considered a trailblazing writer and poet.
