With the words "Play ball!" the 2005 Dhahran Youth Baseball Association (DYBA) season got under way at the Pee Wee Field complex. Yusof Rafie, senior vice president of Industrial Relations, threw the first pitch.

Little League Baseball Games Begin
The first Little League baseball in Saudi Arabia got underway last week with Dhahran District Manager K. R. Webster tossing out the first ball in the Dhahran opener. Mrs. Geraldine Turner, representing the Ras Tanura Woman's group, did the tossing in the Refinery Town Opener.

Dhahran Baseball Has New Home
Canyon Yards, a new two-field, state-of-the-art baseball complex that will serve as home for the community’s large and successful Little League program, was formally inaugurated Nov. 1. Mazen I. Snobar, executive director of Community Services, officially opened the complex by cutting a green-and-white ceremonial ribbon, and he threw out the first pitch to start play on the new field of dreams.

The American Business Association – Eastern Province (ABA-EP) hosted a dinner on Sept. 26th to celebrate the success of the Arabian American Little League in the Little League World Series.
