In a beautiful valley formed by the west branch of the Susquehanna River sits the scenic town of Williamsport, Pa., the home of Little League Baseball. It's a long way from Dhahran, but on Aug. 19, fans and media converged on this town to watch 193 kids compete for one of youth sports' most coveted prizes, the 2005 Little League World Championship.

Transatlantic Region Champion Determined For 2005 Little League Baseball World Series
A team from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia became the seventh to earn a berth in the 2005 Little League Baseball World Series by winning the Transatlantic Region Tournament on Thursday in Vilseck, Germany.
