Discussing Field Party Locations
Exploration, the division responsible for the never ending task of searching for oil, is one of the backbones of the oil industry.
Aramco exploration crews are constantly surveying and mapping sections of Saudi Arabia's hinterlands, from the Rub' al-Khali to the northern deserts, looking for geological information that may lead to oil.
Headed by Burt Beverly, Jr., manager, Exploration, the division consists of many field parties backed by headquarters sections, including a Special Studies section, a Cartographic section, an Oil Field Development section, a Geophysical section, the Structure Drill section and the Drilling and Logistics section.
Burt Beverly (standing), discusses Field party locations with Assistant Manager I.J. Reed. Beverly has been in Dhahran 17 years, while Reed has nine years of Field service.
