    Half Way House

The painting of the Half-Way house on the old Abqaiq road was painted after the road was abandoned and the building closed. As This police check point was the only structure between Dhahran and Abqaiq. I recently found it on Google Earth at coordinates N 25 deg,21' 51.64" and E 48 deg 34' 40.09" Google Earth has recently upgraded the resolution of the Eastern Provence and is a great trip back down memory lane. At least we can visit Dhahran and area vicariously.

Radhwa Basketball Team: 2007 Quad Campion

Ras Tanura – The Radhwa Basketball Association team of Ras Tanura won the 2007 QUAD Area Basketball Tournament held on July 5, 2007. Teams from Abqaiq (Al-Farha), Dhahran (Al-Munirah), Udhailiyah (Al-Waha), and Ras Tanura (Radhwa) participated in the two-month long event. Radhwa beat Al Munirah at the opening of the tournament in Dhahran but Al Munirah retaliated in Ras Tanura during the second round to force a playoff. Radhwa finally captured the championship after a long drought, as playing coach Jan Fontillas worked double time to appreciate the support provided by Fahad Al-Sanai, Administrator, RT Res & Rec Svcs Div and Ahmed Al-Qurain, Supervisor Radhwa Recreation.
