    Mark, Lois, and Andrew live in Dhahran. Mark is Assistant Principal at Dhahran School, Lois teaches third grade at Dhahran Hills School, and Andrew is a ninth grader. Lars resides in Boulder, Colorado, and Hans is a junior at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

    Herb Jones and I worked for Community Services Planning department in Dhahran from 1977 to 1984.
    On a recent cruise in the Mediterranean, my wife Esther and I were able to spend the whole day with Herb and his wife Doreen, including a delightful meal at their remarkable home on the island of Menorca, Spain, where they have lived since leaving Aramco in 1986. This was our first meeting in twenty years, although we always keep in touch via email these days.

    Nestor "Sandy" Sander Rides His "New Transportation"

    Annuitant, Nestor “Sandy” Sander has found a way to go shopping after they took his driver's license away. He says the scooter is more than O.K. for the mile to and from the bank and grocery store.

    Sandy is 90 years young. During his career as a geologist he lived for long periods in six countries of Europe, Africa and the Middle East while visiting many others.

    In 1939, on his first tour overseas, he shook hands with the King Ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia and in 1945 he watched De Gaulle and Churchill walk down the Champs Elysées on VE Day. He wrote the book, Ibn Saud: King by Conquest. Read more by Nestor Sander.

    Annuitant, Nestor “Sandy” Sander and Vicci Thompson of Aramco ExPats had lunch together in Modesto, California this September as Vicci made her way across the U.S.
