Henry Cook

Henry and Bonnie Cook are two of my dearest friends. I met them two days after arriving in Abqaiq, January 1975. With two little boys, Rusty 3 and Brad 3, we walked to the dining hall the first Thursday after we arrived in Saudi Arabia. HDC (Henry Drilling Cook) and Jary Archer were having breakfast together and we all started talking. Henry said he was showing a movie at their house that night and invited us to come over and watch it. Being a drilling foreman, HD had access to the 16 MM movies brought in for the rigs.

Henry was that kind of person, he saw someone in need (us new off the boat) and he (a long time expat) knew how to make us feel both comfortable and welcomed us to Aramco. He really made us feel as if we belonged. We had a great time and this started our friendship that has lasted 33 years!

Please following this link and share your stories with Bonnie and their families. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/cookhd
