What does one do with their grandchildren on school winter break that is fun for grandma? I have the perfect answer:  Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour and a Children's Museum

The young cast of the Disney's High School Musical with their engery and enthusiasm was extremely appealing to my six year old granddaugher who already knew most of the songs and my eight year old grandson who enjoyed the basketball and skating. After the show we had dinner at the Olive Garden (treat for Jacob and Satomi) and stayed the night in a hotel in Boston.

The next day we got up bright and early and went to the Boston Children's Museum. The Museum helps children understand and enjoy the world in which they live. Through hands-on engagement, children learn about science, environmental awareness, health & fitness, and the arts.

Jake and Tomi exercised and played for four hours without stopping. Their favorites included the Science Playground where they did experiments with "Bubbles" creating  countless spheres of many sizes. The a 3-story climbing sculpture made of brightly colored curved platforms, rising like a fleet of magic carpets (you see how I introduced the Middle East in my blog) up the interior lobby of museum. They loved finding their way through the maze climbing to the top.

Another wonder for the kids was pulling themselves up about six feet using pulleys. What fun for them to see they could actually lift their own weight!

Take your grandchildren to a children's museum; you will both have a great time!
