Alex Mackay
Alex Mackay, a Warehouseman for the Service Organization, died suddenly at the BOAC Hotel on Bahrein Island of a heart attack, November 19, 1949.
Alex Mackay was born August 18, 1900 in Chehalis, Washington. He arrived in Saudi Arabia on May 16, 1948, and was assigned to Abqaiq. This was his first foreign job. He spent some time in Alaska with the U. S. Army Engineers, was also with the U. S. Forestry Service. Surviving is his father William Mackay who resides at Enunclaw, Washington; to him and his friends we offer our deepest sympathy.
Funeral Services were held on Bahrein Island, November 21, with 42 men from Abqaiq attended the fitting ceremony. Interment was in the Mission Cemetery, Bahrein Island.
"This pleasant little man was well liked by practically everyone in Abqaiq," reports Johnny Warren from Abqaiq.
