Bruce K. Potteiger
Bruce K. Potteiger passed away in the Dhahran Hospital early Monday morning, May 29th, from a serious illness. His untimely death came as a great shock to his many friends.
Bruce arrived in the Field on April 23, 1949 and was assigned to the Refinery at Ras Tanura as a Chemical Engineer. Shortly before his death he was transferred on loan to the Dhahran Refining Headquarters Group to perform special oil studies.
He was born August 12, 1921 in Harrisburg, Pa. He attended local grammar and high schools and in 1942 graduated from Perm. State with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He served as a Lieutenant (j.g.) with the United States Navy in Southwest Pacific campaigns from March, 1944 until August, 1946.
Bruce is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. C. R. Potteiger, who reside at 251 Sagamore Road, Havertown, Pa. We join Bruce's many friends in extending to his family deepest sympathy. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him.
The remains will be sent to the United States where funeral services and burial will take place.
