Buford Hugh Jones
Aramco employee Buford Hugh Jones was among the victims of an offshore accident last Thursday in which an exploratory well being drilled by a contractor drilling rig went out of control. Those killed were overcome with poisonous hydrogen sulfide gas.
Mr. Jones joined Aramco in June 1977, and he had been working as drilling liaison man for the Northern Area Drilling Department. He was 48 years old.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Joan, who resides at 6329 Dwyer Road, New Orleans, La., 70126. [Photograph]
