David C. Wyland

David C. Wyland of Greenville, SC passed away peacefully on June 30, 2021. Born in St. Louis, MO on May 24, 1930. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Katherine Mosner Wyland and by his 3 children Kathy Wyland and spouse, Betsy W. Shively, Robert Wyland and spouse, and 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was senior class president at Ritenour High School MO 1947. When at Washington University he received his BS in Industrial Engineering in 1951 and also belonged to Sigma Xi fraternity. He actively partook in reunions in both school's. He was a Navy Air Ready Reserve for 9 years. His Engineering degree obtained him jobs with McDonnell Douglas, FMC Corp, Pillsbury, Singer, Squibb, and the Arabian American Oil Company. His jobs with Singer and ARAMCO had he and his family living overseas, respectively in Japan and Saudi Arabia which he enjoyed immensely. He was a long time member of the American Institute of Industrial Engineers and at the time of his passing a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Greenville, SC. His joy was singing, sailing, golfing, traveling and volunteering. He loved seeing and spending time with family and friends.
