David Michael Owen
David Michael Owen, 59, of Dhahran, Saudi Arabia died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 near Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Dave was born on October 29, 1957 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to William Lee and Mary Margaret (Williams) Owen. He married Paula Lynn Clark of Orrick, MO on August 27, 1983. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include; two sons, David Lee Owen of Arlington, TX and Steven Michael Owen of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Hollyn Elizabeth Owen of College Station, TX; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard B. Owen of Altamonte Springs, FL and Thomas A. and Kathleen Owen of Sugar Land, TX; one sister and brother-in-law, Randa M. Owen-Williams and Raymond Williams of Sugar Land, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Dave worked for Saudi Aramco for 35 years and was currently a Contracts Advisor for Information Technology. He was a member of the Lions Club in Sugar Land, TX. Dave graduated from Culver Military Academy. He received his Bachelor’s degree from William Jewell College and his MBA degree from Houston Baptist University. Dave was of the Christian faith. He was a board member for the Dhahran Dive Association. He was a member of the S.S.S. Football League. He was an avid deep desert camper and a Divemaster. He was past President and presently, the Chief Umpire of the Saudi Arabia Little League Baseball program. He had lived most of his life in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia and Sugar Land, TX.
