Everett K. Payne
Everett K. Payne, who left Saudi Arabia on repatriation vacation last month, died in California on Friday, May 16.
Mr. Payne joined Aramco in 1950 as a journeyman mechanic and was assigned to work in Abqaiq. He became lead rig mechanic, Producing, the following year, and two years later he was named head rig mechanic for Drilling Division. In 1960 he was appointed supervisor, Camp Services, and the following year he became foreman, Waterwell Maintenance. In 1967 he was reclassified as foreman, Well Services, the position he held last.
