George Papp
George Papp died on September 23, 2017, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Falls Church, VA, at the age of 90.
Born on April 19, 1927, in Somerset, NJ, George was a World War II Navy Veteran, a teacher in the Bay of Nome, AK, and in Somerset, NJ, a technical writer for 18 years with the Arabian American Oil Company in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, a world traveler, and an Angel Flight co-pilot in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
George was preceded in death by his mother and father Mary and Steven Papp, his brothers Nick and Steve, and his son Richard. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian Traski Papp, his daughter Sharon Papp, his son-in-law Rick Philbin, and his granddaughters Nicole and Andrea Philbin. We are so blessed to have had George's kind and generous spirit in our lives for these many decades. We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
