Harry Carle Lorenzen, 99, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Harry was born on August 12, 1923, in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Michigan State College in June 1948, majoring in Chemistry. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps as a twin engine pilot. Harry was employed by the Arabian American Oil Company and the Fluor Corporation, before entering the Aerospace Industry. He was employed by Rockwell International and their sub-contractors, specializing in chemical milling.

In 1980, he retired from Aerochem Inc., as their technical director. He spent 6 years in Kanah, Utah, before moving to Punta Gorda, Florida, in 1986.

Harry was a member of the Elks, American Legion, and the American Chemical Society.

Harry was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty Lorenzen, and later by his loving companion, Joan B. O'Brien, on December 14, 2008.

Arrangements are being handled by the National Cremation Society. There will be no services at this time, as Harry's wishes were to be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
