Margaret Ann Stebbins, 76, of Lead Hill died Tuesday, June 2 (2004) at North Arkansas Medical Center in Harrison.

The daughter of Joseph and Barbara Geisinger Yaklitsch was born Feb. 11, 1928. She was a 1945 graduate of the High School of Commerce in Detroit. After high school graduation, Margaret was employed by the Chrysler Corporation as a clerk typist for six years.

In 1951 Margaret enlisted in the U. S. Army to serve in the Women's Army Corps, serving in Frankfort, Germany. She was a graduate of the Quartermaster School, U. S. Army, Europe.

She received a honorable discharge in 1955 and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.

In 1954 she married Jack Davis, but was later divorced. In 1976 she married Lester Stebbins and they were divorced in 1997.

Margaret worked in various office support positions for nearly 40 years, including work as an administrative executive assistant for the Aramco Oil Company in Abqacq, Saudi Arabia.

She is survived by an adopted daughter, Janet Hargrove and son-in-law, Tim Hargrove of Columbus, Ind. and four grandsons, Joshua, Jeffrey, Timmy, and John-Stephen.
