Mohammed Saleem Sheikh

Mohammed Saleem Sheikh, staff advisor in Contractor Liaison, Government Affairs Organization, died suddenly on Saturday, Jan. 12, 1980, in the Dhahran Health Center. He was 51 years old.

Mr. Sheikh, who was living with his family in Aramco Leased Facilities Housing in Dammam, joined the company in January 1955 as a steno-clerk and was assigned to Clerical Services in the Accounting Department in Dhahran. In March 1960 he transferred to Abqaiq as an administrative clerk in Oil Operations and four years later he joined Dhahran Purchasing as a senior administrative clerk.

In May 1967 Mr. Sheikh moved to the Plants and Pipelines Department as an engineering assistant and two years later he became an assistant engineer in Oil Supply, Planning and Scheduling. In April 1976 he joined the Petroleum Engineering Department as a petroleum technician and in July of last year he moved to Contractor Liaison, where two months ago he was named a staff advisor.

Surviving Mr. Sheikh are his wife, Ismat; two sons: Shahid, 20, and Kamron, 18; and a daughter, Farah, 14. Mr. Sheikh's family may be contacted care of Sheikh Mohammed Bashir, Mohalla Sheikhanwalla, Miani, District Sargodha, Pakistan. [Photograph]
