Ricardo Yap Cuan
Funeral services have been held in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, for Ricardo Yap Cuan, who died in Dhahran on Nov. 7 at the age of 39. Memorial services were held in Dhahran on Nov. 11.
Mr. Cuan had served as a structural design engineer with the Project Planning and Development Division of the Community and Industrial Facilities Projects Department since his arrival in Dhahran in December 1979. Prior to his move to Saudi Arabia, he was employed as a structural engineer by the county of Los Angeles. He held a BS in Civil Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines, and was registered as a civil and structural engineer by the state of California.
